Leather Repair Kits – that “actually” Work and Last for Years!

Welcome to our Online Store – Exclusive Leather Repair Kits – that simply work! – on Leather, Vinyl, Automotive, Aircraft and Marine.

Bonded, Bycast or Bicast Leather

The most economical type of leather – usually a shiny dark brown or black in color. Made from cheaper cowhides, the skins have a polyurethane ( vinyl ) coating applied to the surface. These leathers will not as fade as easy and will resist spillage. However they are more prone ripping in areas because cowhide does not have a great deal of elasticity. Common problems for this type of leather include PEELING of the finish, BUBBLING, TEARS and CRACKING of the finish.

Finished Leather

Also known as “Painted Leather”. The most common leather for furniture, automotive, marine and aircraft. The leather is treated with a protected finish that resists spillage, wear and fading . Most colors are one straight shade. If you were to spill something on the surface you could wipe it clean without leaving a stain. Aging Characteristics: Fading, topical wear and possible cracking.

Antiqued or Aniline Leather

Also known as “stained leather”. The more luxurious, softer and richer looking leathers. These leathers are dyed with an ANILINE dye ( similar to a wood stain). You can actually see the leather hide, and it has a lot of tonal hues depending on lighting conditions. They are much more susceptible to spillage and extreme fading.
